The WorldMix team’s vacation in the beautiful country of Morocco seems a long time ago (sad face) – but that doesn’t stop us from continuing our musical global tour of the planet (very happy face!) with a plethora of countries visited this week including Russia, Jamaica, Romania, New Zealand, USA, Puerto Rico and Algeria…amongst others.

How do your kids get to school?  Car, bus, walking or on a train perhaps?  How about across an open water on a paddleboard! We meet a Cornish 13 year old who takes to the seas every school day to get to her place of learning!

And as always, fellow presenter Dan Sweeney pushes the old man out of the studio chair to bring us his ‘One Hit Wonder Classic’ – an artist that only enjoyed US chart success once.  This week Dan is rewinding to 1990 with a Perto Rican / American artist that starred as Madonna’s boyfriend in her ‘Borderline’ video.

In hour 2, our ‘Chapter One’ segment unearths the first song from a famous artist. This week, we’ve touched down in South Africa’s Soweto – and an artist regarded as a pioneer for that musical genre, instrumental in the rise of ‘Kasi Rap’.

Also, amongst a wealth of yet more great releases from all over the globe, we delve into the back of the station’s record library in the ’80s fix’ segment, picking out two classics from years gone by.  On this edition of WorldMix, we’re over to Liverpool with the Christian brothers – Garry, Roger & Russell, followed by a southbound journey to Bath, and a classic from Tears for Fears.

For sure, it’s going to be another jammed pack edition of your favourite global hits radio show – ready for broadcast on YOUR station.
