It’s a veritable feast of international travel this week on your favourite global hits radio show.  The WorldMix flight touches down in Russia, USA, Puerto Rico, Venezuela, Jamaica, Spain, Norway & Cape Verde amongst other great locations.

Do you know about Conkers? The age-old game that involves large seeds from Horse-Chestnut trees, strung on a length of string. Well, allegations of cheating at the world championships last week.  It’s all intrigue and alleged underhand tactics.  We delve deeper into this unusual ‘sport’.

In the first hour, fellow presenter Dan Sweeney also drops in as always, with a ‘One Hit Wonder Classic’ – an artist that only enjoyed success once in the US Billboard chart.  This week, Dan’s rewinding to 2001 with an artist from Providence, Rhode Island.

In hour 2, our ‘Chapter One’ segment unearths the first song from a famous artist. This week, it’s musical royalty with a visit to the village of Treforest in Wales and a hit originally destined for Sandie Shaw.
