This week’s edition of your favourite global hits radio show starts off with a smokin’ hot release from artist Jelly Roll.  Now how do you come up with a stage name like that? Love it!

Do you know your Zouk from your Kwaito, your Afrobeat from your Rai? The WorldMix flight touches down in South Africa, Congo, Sierra Leone, Algeria and Guinea Bissau before heading over to Europe.

Do you get flooded with those annoying spam calls from an overseas call centre, trying to scam you out of your money? Horrible eh!  Well phone provider giant O2 has rolled out an AI project, an elderly ‘grandma’ called Daisy who’s designed solely to waste the scammers’ time when called!

Also in the first hour, fellow presenter Dan Sweeney also drops in as always, with a ‘One Hit Wonder Classic’ – an artist that only enjoyed success once in the US Billboard chart.  This week, Dan’s rewinding to 1987 – and a US Latin freestyle girl group called Company B.

In hour number 2 we delve into the murky world of counterfeits. Not that we’re advocating you start in this crime – but if you did, what product / item would you try to copy? How about washing powder!

Also, in hour 2, our ‘Chapter One’ segment unearths the first song from a famous artist. This week, it’s a stopover in Ireland with a ‘little’ band you might have heard of…..U2!

Amongst a wealth of yet more great releases from all over the globe, we delve into the back of the station’s record library in the ’80s fix’ segment, picking out two classics from years gone by.  On this edition of WorldMix, there’s a hispanic vibe to our memories with classics from Katunga and Julio Iglesias.

You know it’s going to be another jammed packed show ready for broadcast on YOUR station.
