It’s an ‘interplanetary’ experience on this week’s edition of your favourite global hits radio show – WorldMix, as we celebrate (in part) Blue Origin’s all-female crew and their very brief 10 minute flight.  Yes, there’s a lot of internet ‘feedback’ on whether Katy Perry did actually go into space…

We’ll let you decide.

Meanwhile, it’s a great excuse to dig out one of her all-time classic hits on our worldwide musical journey. She joins Omah Lay, SZA, Taylor Swift and the Kalush Orchestra all in the first 20 minutes.

It’s not all about a rocket however on this week’s show. Looks like humans have touched down on Mars too!  Well, not exactly – but a 30 foot tall planet balloon decided to break free from its mooring at the Kennedy Center last week – causing traffic chaos.  It’s like a scene out of Despicable Me!

Fellow presenter Dan Sweeney drops in as always with a one hit wonder classic – this week digging out a 1986 release from a Minneapolis based R&B group.

In the second hour, our ‘Chapter 1′ segment unearths the very first hit from a featured artist. We’re staying in the USA with a boy band formed by Orlando singer Chris Kirkpatrick which launched the career of a certain Justin Timberlake.

Also, amongst a wealth of yet more great songs from all over the globe, we delve into the back of the station’s record library, picking out two classics from years gone by.  Our ’80s fix’ segment unearths crackers from Genesis and Duran Duran. For sure, it’s going to be another jammed pack edition of your favourite global hits radio show – ready for broadcast on YOUR station.
